Optional:

I like to take an accent color and do another round of single crochet around the edge.

Fasten off and weave in the ends.

For the flower I used a G hook and the same brand of yarn and followed this pattern. (see link below)

I loved the idea of having a flower that you can take off or switch out depending on what you are wearing that day!

I hope you enjoy this pattern! It is very simple and works up very quickly! If you have any questions feel free to contact me and I will do my best to answer as quickly as possible.

  1. I’m sorry I’m new to crocheting. If we are chaining 7 and then sc the next row at the beginning why is there only 6 in parenthesis? Should I be skipping the first stitch?

    1. Sorry Kathy, I’m confused as well. Which part are you wondering about? The button hole? If that is the question you will see how to make the hole itself in Rows 3 & 4, then once the piece is finished you will sew a button on the opposite end to connect them.
I hope that is helpful. If not, let me know. 🙂

    1. I attached a button to the head wrap itself. Just place it where you want the flower to sit and secure it.
Then you’re able to remove the flower or to wear it without or make flowers in multiple colors to change them as you feel.

    1. I haven’t but I’m guessing you could. I would think just ch or fhdc to desired length then join and continue.
I would love to see how it turns out if you give it a try! 🙂

      1. To make this without the button hole on rows 3 and 4 just HDC 6 in each row. Continue with the pattern as stated then sew the 2 ends together. You can still add the button and flower if you wish to do so. Nice easy and fast pattern!
